With Sweep Of The Dodgers, Cardinals Are Telling Fans This Year Could Be Different

One of the best things about sports is that things rarely go as planned. It's the kind of thing that makes me tip my cap to the bookies and gamblers who try to play predictor with such a game; one stuffed with human error, chance, and unexpected adversity.

Full Game For Paul DeJong; Marcell Ozuna's Defensive Attempt

In hockey, it’s said to be a “Gordie Howe Hat Trick” when a player records a goal, assist, and fights in the same game. St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong didn’t drop the gloves but he hit almost every other statistical category in helping his team to a 4-0 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Marcell Ozuna Scales Wall, But Ball Falls Short

With a moment sure to end up on the season blooper reel, Cardinals left fielder Marcell Ozuna misjudged an eighth-inning fly ball that ended with him face-planting on the warning track and teammates trying to hold back laughter in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Dodgers.

Cardinals Homestand Highlights: April 4-11, 2019

The Cardinals open the 2019 home slate with a three games against the San Diego Padres (April 4, 6-7) and a four-game series with the defending National League Champion Los Angeles Dodgers (April 8-11). The first homestand of the year is highlighted by Opening Day festivities featuring all 16 living members of the Cardinals Hall of Fame, three promotional gate giveaways and Law Enforcement & Firefighters Appreciation Nights.
