Individual Highlights:
Paul DeJong started at shortstop and batted third.  1-for-3 with one double, one run, two walks, and one strikeout.
Marcell Ozuna started in left field and batted fourth.  2-for-5 with two two-out RBIs and one run.
Jose Martinez started in right field and batted fifth.  2-for-4 with one double, one two-out RBI, and one run.

Cardinals Activated Michael Wacha From Injured List & Optioned Ryan Helsley To Triple-A Memphis

The St. Louis Cardinals announced prior to tonight’s series opener in Washington, that they have activated right-handed pitcher Michael Wacha (left knee patellar tendinitis ) from the 10-day Injured List and optioned right-handed rookie pitcher Ryan Helsley to Memphis (AAA). Wacha is scheduled to start tonight’s game against the Nationals.
