Breyvic Valera Is Good At Beating The Odds
Breyvic Valera had practically given up hope of a professional baseball career. He was too skinny and had no power. Living in a country in which big-league clubs prefer to sign the best prospects at 16 or 17, he already was deemed too old — at 18 — before the Cardinals gave him a chance.

The Amazing Story Of Breyvic Valera
Breyvic Valera is not a super prospect whose name appears on the MLB Pipeline listings, nor does he cover covers in Baseball America. Nor is he among the best recruits of the Cardinals of San Luis, did not receive a great bonus, like many of his colleagues when they give the leap to the professional, and did not even sign at 16, as is usually the case with young Latin Americans. Tijuana Cimarrones Secure National Stadium For 2010 Season, Set To Announce Enrique Brito As Manager
The Golden Baseball League (GBL) announced today that the Tijuana Cimarrones (Big Horn Sheep), an expansion team for the upcoming GBL season, have received the official lease to the 18,000 seat Estadio Nacional de Tijuana. This returns professional baseball to this hotbed for the sport for the first time since the 2008 Tijuana Potros team was disbanded by the Mexican League and their franchise relocated to the city of Reynosa. The 2009 version of the Potros was unfortunately unable to play in the GBL and dissolved due to the financial issues caused by the double hit of the economy and Swine Flu outbreak last year.

Enrique Brito To Manage Tijuana In The Golden Baseball League
Enrique Brito confirmed to be the manager of the Maroons of Tijuana in the Independent Golden League. Returning from a try-out held in Maracaibo, we were able to telephone our sports manager.
"It will address the Tijuana, at the request of the St. Louis Cardinals own, an organization which still united. However, my contract clearly states that every time the Braves require my presence, I can travel freely" .
Brown added that in recent weeks has been devoted to observe younger talent to nurture the future of the whole margariteño.
"Soon I'll have good news regarding the acquisition of new values," he said. (Translated)
