After a nearly lost year due to ankle injuries, Taveras is still one of the best hitters in the minors, but after him, this list lacks the star power of the center field list. Admittedly, some of the center field prospects will likely end up moving to a corner eventually, but this list doesn’t have as much power as you would expect.

July 2nd Class Of 2011: Position Players
As the year begins and organizations start preparing for Spring Training, the scouting focus turns to the International signing period. The D.P.L. July 2nd class will start getting strong looks by organizations positioning themselves with the right player. Final decision will probably be made after the June draft in the U.S. and negotiations can be made only on or after July 2nd.
