Godell "Butz" Herzog, Whitey's Younger Brother, Dies

Godell "Butz" Herzog, younger brother by two years of recently elected Hall of Fame manager Whitey Herzog, died in his sleep at age 76 in his native New Athens, Il., Saturday. Funeral services will be Tuesday in New Athens for Mr. Herzog, who often wore a shirt with the number 24½ on the back, in honor of his brother, who wore No. 24 as Cardinals manager in the 1980s.
