Former Cardinals GM Bob Howsam Passes Away
Bob Howsam, a controversial bridge between Cardinals general managers Bing Devine and Stan Musial in the mid-1960s and architect of Cincinnati's Big Red Machine in the 1970s, died today in Sun City, Ariz. He was 89.
