Cardinals Not Tempted To Start Alex Reyes During Spring; Pitchers Who Rake; Luke Gregerson's Likely Return; Up Next

Though he continues to progress without any physical hiccups, Alex Reyes will not have his rehab program accelerated by the Cardinals just to allow the right-hander to appear in Grapefruit League games. Reyes will not pitch in a game before the regular season starts, pitching coach Mike Maddux said on Friday.

After he threw a 27-pitch batting practice session against Cardinals hitter and pitchers Friday and pending a normal recovery, Cardinals closer Luke Gregerson is in line to make his second exhibition appearance on Sunday, pitching coach Mike Maddux said .
