Lance Lynn & Andrew Moss Honored For Pitching Performances In MiLB Playoffs

Pacific Coast League
Lance Lynn, Memphis
1-0, 1.29 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 7 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 HR, 0 HBP, 0 BB, 16 K
Lance Lynn struck out 11 twice this season, so it's clear he's capable of baffling hitters. But Lynn, who just finished his second full season as a pro, had something special working in his lone playoff start for Memphis, in Game 3 of the first round. Over the course of seven frames, Lynn piled up a career-high 16 punchouts, whiffing each member of the Oklahoma City starting lineup at least once and striking out five in a row from the bottom of the second to the top of the fourth. "It was one of those things where every pitch I threw was exactly where I wanted it to go," the Cardinals prospect told MiLB.com.

New York-Penn League
Andrew Moss, Batavia
0-1, 1.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 1 CG, 9 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 HR, 0 HBP, 0 BB, 5 K
Andrew Moss did what he could, but his Muckdogs were eliminated in his lone postseason start. Moss, a late-round pick by the Cardinals in last year's Draft, gave up one run on four hits while striking out five without walking anybody over the course of his complete game against the Tri-City ValleyCats, who went on to win the New York-Penn League championship. Moss was 8-2 with a 3.35 ERA in the regular season.
