J.D. Drew Leaves Game With Sore Hip Flexor

But it wasn't all good news for the Red Sox outfield. Right fielder J.D. Drew had been running under the supervision of team trainers before the game, trying to work with a sore hip flexor, and he ended up leaving the game before the bottom of the ninth.

"He's a little sore," Red Sox manager Terry Francona said. "He's a little tender. We'll check him out in the morning. Obviously, against (Roy) Halladay, I'd like to get him in there if we can. If not, we won't."
