A rather routine — but still profound — sequence of events occurred at Busch Stadium this week: Chris Carpenter pitched and won a game, and two days later Adam Wainwright pitched and won a game. Because life and time tends to move so fast in our hectic culture, it can be difficult to lean back for a few moments and truly appreciate what we’re seeing in these co-aces.
