For reasons that weren’t too clear to me, Todd Wellemeyer didn’t receive the official stamp of approval as the Giants’ No.5 starter today. But it’s obvious to everyone that he’ll join a rotation that includes Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, Barry Zito and Jonathan Sanchez.
