Now that longtime National League pitching star Greg Maddux finally has retired after capturing an astonishing 18 Rawlings Gold Gloves in a 19-season span from 1990-2008, perhaps the metallic mitt will find its way into the hands of Cardinals righthander Joel Piñeiro.
