Roy Oswalt is no mystery. He's good enough that he doesn't have to be.
The Houston ace will make his 26th regular-season start against the Cardinals on Tuesday, and despite that familiarity, it hasn't gotten any easier to hit him. That kind of familiarity should, in theory, favor hitters, but it hasn't in the case of Oswalt and St. Louis.

Ivan Rodriguez's number change to 77 from 12 on Monday didn't have anything to do with changing his or the Astros' luck on the field, but it could be representative of the change the Houston catcher has seen in the team's clubhouse over the past month.
