The Mets also optioned catcher Robinson Cancel and right-handed pitcher Connor Robertson to the Minors, and they reassigned right-handers Kyle Snyder and Matt DeSalvo, and lefties Jon Switzer, Heriberto Ruelas and Casey Fossum to Minor League camp. Cancel and Robertson had to be optioned due to their status on the 40-man roster; the others, all on Minor League deals, could be reassigned without consequence.
