Ah, spring. When a person’s fancy lightly turns to thoughts of... baseball.
We borrowed poet Alfred Lord Tennyson’s seasonal testament to love because there’s little difference between love and the start of baseball. Giddy nervousness. Heart palpitations. Impossibly lofty expectations. Emotions soar this evening as the Quad-Cities rekindles an old flame — the River Bandits — in the newly dubbed Modern Woodmen Park.
