One of the first long conversations Paul Goldschmidt had about St. Louis and the Cardinals happened over the course of several hours and several plates of Italian food at Dominic’s on the Hill. He and his wife, Amy, met Cardinals manager Mike Shildt for the meal in January, and it didn’t take long to realize they had the same taste in conversation.
