The St. Louis Cardinals announced this afternoon that they have optioned or re-assigned 10 players to the team’s minor league camp, reducing the number of players in Major League Spring Training camp to 55, including 35 roster players.

The Cardinals cut their number of players in camp from 65 to 55 Saturday by optioning five players to Class AAA Memphis and sending five non-roster players to the minor-league complex.
