Just as manager Mike Shildt was intentional in debuting veterans Matt Carpenter, Dexter Fowler and Paul Goldschmidt together atop his lineup Sunday, the fact that Kolten Wong, Paul DeJong and Harrison Bader have played in the same two spring games, including Monday's 3-3 tie with the split-squad Tigers, is no coincidence.
