Cardinals righthanded reliever Matt Bowman, who appeared in a club-high 75 games in 2017 but spent much of this season on the disabled list with finger blisters and circulatory issues, was claimed on waivers Friday by the Cincinnati Reds, one day after San Diego claimed infielder Greg Garcia.
