Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 5-19-18: Richy Pedroza Singles & Hits A Two-Run Homer; Cedric Hunter Collects Three Singles & One RBI; Niko Vasquez Singles, Walks, & Drives In One Run



Cedric Hunter (former Memphis-Leon) started in right field and moved to left, batting fourth.  3-for-3 with one two-out RBI and one run.
Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Leon) started at second base and batted sixth.  1-for-2 with one two-out RBI and on walk.

Leon and Mexico tied 4-4 after five innings

Daric Barton (former Peoria-Puebla) started as designated hitter and batted third.  0-for-4 with one strikeout.

Oaxaca beat Puebla 5-4

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted second.  2-for-4 with one home run, two RBIs, two runs, one sacrifice, and assisted in two double plays.

Aguascalientes beat Monterrey 6-4

Rainel Rosario (former Springfield-Saltillo) started in right field and batted seventh.  1-for-3 with one home run, one RBI, two runs, and one walk.
Raul Valdes (former st. Louis-Saltillo) started and pitched 6.2 innings.  He allowed six hits, three runs (one earned), one walk, threw one wild pitch, and struck four out for the winning decision (7-1).  (p-s:105-65)(g/f:12-3)

Yefri Perez (former MiLB signing-Monclova) started in centerfield and batted leadoff.  1-for-3 with one triple, two RBIs, two runs, two walks, and one strikeout.

Monclova beat Durango 11-1

Ivan Bellazetin (former MiLB tryout-Dos Laredos) started in centerfield and batted second.  0-for-3 with one walk.

Tijuana beat Dos Laredos 6-3
