Marco Gonzales Set To Make Return To Cardinals; Cardinals Claim Sean Gilmartin Off Waivers From Mets & Assign To Triple-A Memphis; Yadier Molina Sits Again

Marco Gonzales is set to make his first Major League appearance since 2015, as the Cardinals confirmed on Sunday that the left-hander will be summoned from Triple-A Memphis to start the second game of Tuesday's day-night doubleheader against the Brewers.

The Cardinals made their latest attempt to find a diamond in the rough when they claimed lefty Sean Gilmartin off waivers from the Mets Sunday. A starter throughout his career in the minors, Gilmartin enjoyed a successful rookie season out of the New York bullpen back in 2015, appearing in 50 games and going 3-2 with a 2.67 ERA in 57.1 innings pitched.
