Cardinals Activated Trevor Rosenthal From The Disabled List & Optioned Sam Tuivailala To Triple-A Memphis

The St. Louis Cardinals announced today, prior to their series opener against the Washington Nationals, that they have activated right-handed pitcher Trevor Rosenthal (right lat strain) from the 10-day disabled list. Right-handed pitcher Sam Tuivailala was optioned to Memphis (AAA) following yesterday's game to make room for Rosenthal on the team's 25-man active roster.

What has been a wobbly Cardinals bullpen will get a boost on Monday with the return of right-hander Trevor Rosenthal, who was activated from the 10-day disabled list before the club opened a three-game series against the Nationals.

Trevor Rosenthal is back in action for the Cardinals Monday. The team announced the former closer has been activated off the 10-day disabled list prior to the series opener with the Washington Nationals.
