Cardinals Minor League Spring Training Notebook 3-24-17: Jordan Hicks Strikes Out Six Over Four Scoreless Innings; Zac Gallen Strikes Out Four Over Three Scoreless Innings; Mason Katz Hits A Two-Run Homer
Triple-A: New Orleans (Miami) Beat Memphis 3-1:
Bruce Caldwell (Springfield) covered third base and went 1-for-2 with two walks.
Todd Cunningham (Salt Lake City) manned left field and went 2-for-3 with one walk.
Daniel Poncedeleon (Springfield) pitched four innings and allowed three hits, one earned run, two walks, and struck four out.
Double-A: Springfield Beat Jacksonville (Miami) 4-2:
Mason Katz (Springfield) covered third base and went 1-for-1 with one home run, two RBIs, and one run.
Thomas Spitz (Palm Beach) manned left field and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one RBI, one run, and one walk.
