The St. Louis Cardinals announced today their 2016 Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Year selections, honoring catcher Carson Kelly and right-handed pitcher Luke Weaver for their accomplishments on the field. Both Kelly and Weaver made their Major League debuts in 2016.

Catcher Carson Kelly and righthanded pitcher Luke Weaver, both of whom finished the 2016 season in the majors, have been named the Cardinals’ minor league players of the year. Both will be honored at the St. Louis Baseball Writers’ dinner on Jan. 15 at St. Louis Union Station Hotel.
