Don’t look now, but the Cardinals are suddenly resembling a legitimately good team even while a significant portion of their talent is on the disabled list. Having rallied to split a four-game series against the Cubs in Wrigley, and then beating the Astros in a two-game set in Houston, the Cardinals now stand eight games over .500, one off their high-water mark for the season, and with a tenuous lead on a wild card spot.
