Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 4-8-16: Daric Barton Doubles, Homers, & Drives In Two Runs; Niko Vasquez Singles, Doubles, & Hits A Solo Home Run; Ivan Maldonado Strikes Out One & Allows Three Runs Over Seven Innings

Luis Garcia (former New Haven-Yucatan) started as designated hitter and batted sixth.  1-for-4 with one strikeout.

Daric Barton (former Peoria-Puebla) started at first base and batted sixth.  2-for-4 with one double, one home run, two two-out RBIs, two runs, and assisted in three double plays.

Yucatan beat Puebla 8-4

Eugenio Velez (former Memphis-Quintana Roo) started in left field and batted leadoff.  1-for-4 with one run, one hit by pitch, and one strikeout.
Iker Franco (former Springfield-Quintana Roo) started at catcher and batted seventh.  0-for-4 with two strikeouts and threw out one of two base runners.

Quintana Roo beat Oaxaca 9-2

Francisco Rivera (former Palm Beach-Campeche) entered late in the game at first base and batted fourth.  0-for-2 at the plate.

Campeche beat Veracruz 1-0

Ivan Maldonado (former MiLB tryout-Reynosa) started and pitched seven innings.  He allowed seven hits, three earned runs, one walk, and struck one out.  (p-s:93-61)(g/f:12-3)

Reynosa beat Aguascalientes 4-3 in 10 innings

Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Laguna) started at shortstop and batted sixth.  3-for-5 with one double, one home run, one two-out RBI, one run, and one strikeout.

Laguna beat Tijuana 5-4 in 12 innings
