Cardinals Minor League Spring Training Notebook 3-24-16: Jake Woodford Strikes Out Six Over Four Hitless/Scoreless Innings; Arturo Reyes Pitched Four Scoreless Innings; David Oca Strikes Out Three Over Three Scoreless Innings



Triple-A: New Orleans (Miami) Beat Memphis 3-1:

Patrick Wisdom (Springfield) covered third base and went 1-for-2 with one double and one walk.
Carson Kelly (Palm Beach) was catcher and went 1-for-2 with one double.
Arturo Reyes (Memphis) pitched four innings and allowed no hits or runs, and one walk.
Chris Thomas (Memphis) pitched one inning and allowed no hits or runs, and struck one out.


Double-A: Jacksonville (Miami) Beat Springfield 3-1:

Oscar Mercado (Peoria) covered shortstop and went 1-for-3 with one double and one strikeout.
Michael Pritchard (State College) manned centerfield and went 1-for-3 with one double, one run, one stolen base, and one walk.
Jack Flaherty (Peoria) pitched four innings and allowed one hit, one earned run, one walk, and struck two out.


A-Advanced: Jupiter (Miami) Beat Palm Beach 5-2:

Vaughn Bryan (Peoria) manned centerfield and went 1-for-4 with one double, one run, and one strikeout.
Pedro Echemendia (State College) pitched 1.1 innings and allowed four hits, one earned run, and struck three out.


Single-A: Peoria Beat Greensboro (Miami) 2-0:

Ronnierd Garcia (Palm Beach) covered third base and went 1-for-4 with one home run, one RBI, and one run.
Allen Cordoba (GCL) covered shortstop and went 3-for-4 with one home run, one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
Jake Woodford (GCL) pitched four innings and allowed no hits or runs, and struck six out.


Short-Season Single-A: State College beat Batavia (Miami) 4-1:

Carlos Torres (Johnson City) 1-for-2 with two RBIs and one walk.
David Oca (State College) pitched three innings and allowed three hits, no runs, and struck three out.


3/25/16: Games against New York-N affiliates with Memphis and Springfield on the road and Palm Beach and Peoria hosting.
