While driving back to St. Louis from Peoria on Thursday night, Jaime Garcia received a text message.

On Thursday, Jaime Garcia pitched five scoreless innings for Class A Peoria. On Friday. Garcia was at Busch Stadium and brought some encouraging news. The Cardinals lefty said that he feels great today and was able to get in all of his normal running and stretching that he typically does the day after pitching.

A day after throwing the first five innings in low Class A Peoria's combined no-hitter, lefty Jaime Garcia returned to Busch Stadium encouraged by how his arm felt and hopeful that his next start will come as a member of the Cardinals' rotation. In regards to the latter, general manager John Mozeliak said the organization is still working through that decision.
