Cardinals Place Matt Holliday On The 15-Day Disabled List, Designate Dan Johnson For An Assignment, Recall Greg Garcia From Triple-A Memphis

The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have placed outfielder Matt Holliday (right quadriceps strain) on the 15-day disabled list and recalled infielder Greg Garcia from Memphis (AAA). The team also announced that it has designated first baseman Dan Johnson for assignment in order to add newly-acquired outfielder/first baseman Brandon Moss to both the 25-man and 40-man rosters.
