Cardinals Minor League Spring Training 3-23-15: Tim Cooney Strikes Out Six Over Two & Two-Thirds Scoreless Innings; Trey Nielsen Strikes Out Six Over Four Scoreless Innings; Robelys Reyes Singles, Triples, & Drives In Two Runs

Triple-A: Memphis Beat Las Vegas (New York-N) 1-0, Completed Three Innings

Anthony Garcia (Palm Beach) manned right field and went 1-for-1 with one double and one run.
Jonathan Rodriguez (Memphis) covered first base and went 1-for-1 at the plate.
Tim Cooney (Memphis) pitched 2.2 innings and allowed one hit, no runs, and struck six out.


Double-A: Binghamton (New York-N) beat Springfield 2-0, Completed In Three Innings

Mason Katz (Palm Beach) covered third base and went 1-for-2 at the plate.
Cesar Valera (Palm Beach) covered second base and went 1-for-1 at the plate.


A-Advanced: Palm Beach Beat St. Lucie (New York-N) 7-5

Anthony Ray (Johnson City) manned left field and went 3-for-4 with one run.
Chris Rivera (Johnson City) covered third base and went 2-for-4 with one double and two runs.
Robelys Reyes (Peoria) manned shortstop and went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBIs.
Trey Nielsen (State College) pitched four innings and allowed four hits, no runs, and struck six out.
Kevin Herget (Palm Beach) pitched two innings and allowed no hits or runs, one walk, and struck two out.
Michael Holback (Peoria) pitched one inning and allowed no hits or runs, and struck two out.


Single-A: Savannah (New York-N) beat Peoria 10-8

Oscar Mercado (Johnson City) manned shortstop and moved to designated hitter, went 3-for-5 with one double and two runs.
Edmundo Sosa (State College) was designated hitter and moved to shortstop, went 1-for-3 with one double, two RBIs, two runs, and one walk.
Julian Barzilli (Gulf Coast) covered third base and went 1-for-3 with one run and two walks.
Will Anderson (State College) pitched three innings and allowed four hits, one earned run, one walk, and struck one out.
