Cardinals Minor League Spring Training 3-22-15: David Washington Doubles, Homers, & Drives In Four Runs; Kyle Hald Strikes Out Three Over Three Hitless/Scoreless Innings; Matt Pearce Strikes out One Over Two Scoreless Innings

Triple-A Memphis Beat Double-A Springfield 7-0

Memphis:
David Washington (Palm Beach) covered first base and went 2-for-3 with one double, one home run, four RBIs, and two runs.
Anthony Garcia (Palm Beach) manned right field and went 2-for-4 with one double, one RBI, and one run.
Boone Whiting (Memphis) pitched two innings and allowed three hits, no runs, and struck one out.

Springfield:
Bruce Caldwell (Palm Beach) covered third base and went 1-for-2 with one walk and one strikeout.
Kyle Hald (Springfield) pitched three innings and allowed no hits or runs, and struck three out.
Dean Kiekhefer (Memphis) pitched one inning and allowed no hits or runs, and struck one out.


A-Advanced Palm Beach Beat Single-A Peoria 3-2

Palm Beach:
Robelys Reyes (State College) manned shortstop and went 2-for-2 with one run and one strikeout.
Ronald Castillo (Peoria) manned right field and went 1-for-2 with one triple and one strikeout.
Dewin Perez (State College) pitched two innings and allowed three hits, no runs, and struck one out.
Joe Scanio (State College) pitched one inning and allowed no hits or runs, and struck one out.

Peoria:
Ricardo Bautista (Gulf Coast) manned right field and went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Matt Pearce (Johnson City) pitched two innings and allowed one hit, no runs, one walk, and struck one out.


Monday's Games:
Memphis and Springfield will be on the road in St. Lucie while Palm Beach and Peoria host the New York-N affiliates on the backfields.
