Matt Holliday Setting Example

Like the weather, Matt Holliday’s bat heated up in the recent series against Cincinnati as the St. Louis Cardinals left fielder batted .364 (4-11) against the Reds and drove in a run in each of the three games. But more of a standout was the three runs he scored—or rather the manner in which he did so as often the score was set up by aggressive base running to go from first to third. Notable, as Holliday is playing with a sore left knee that forced him out of a game as recently as last week and is still not right.
