Cardinals Activate Mark Ellis From Disabled List, Option Pete Kozma To Triple-A Memphis

The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they will activate infielder Mark Ellis from the 15-day disabled list prior to this evening's game at Milwaukee. The team optioned infielder Pete Kozma to Memphis (AAA) following last night's win over the Brewers.

Mark Ellis will rejoin the Cardinals for Tuesday's game in Milwaukee after wrapping up a one-game Minor League rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis. To make room for Ellis on the 25-man roster, the Cardinals have optioned Pete Kozma to Triple-A.

Veteran infielder Mark Ellis' rehab assignment was a few at-bats shorter than the Cardinals expected but same amount of days they planned.
