By City Councilman Jim Strickland’s estimation, the city of Memphis’ potential purchase of AutoZone Park could expose the city’s general fund to between $100,000 and $300,000 annually in backstopping the $24 million in city-backed debt that supporters of the deal hope the Council will approve.
