With the thrill of October baseball on the big league scale in full gear, the Minors are revving back up with Opening Night for the prestigious Arizona Fall League in the books. The Springfield Cardinals are well represented in the Minors’ “finishing school” this year, with Cards Skipper Mike Shildt at the helm of the Salt River Rafters and five former Springfield Cards on his roster, which is also comprised of prospects from the Arizona, Colorado, Tampa and Toronto systems.
