Cardinals Recall Fernando Salas
As they prepare to open play following this week's All-Star break, the St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have recalled right-handed reliever Fernando Salas from Memphis (AAA) for tonight's series opener against San Diego. The Cardinals also have announced that pitcher Chris Carpenter is scheduled to make his second injury rehabilitation assignment start tomorrow (Sat., July 20) for Memphis.
