Right-hander Fernando Salas has been placed on the disabled list with right shoulder inflammation, the Cardinals announced on Wednesday. The move frees up a necessary spot on the 25-man roster to add lefty Tyler Lyons, who will start for the Cardinals on Wednesday night.
The mystery has been solved of which Cardinals pitcher is going to Memphis to make room for tonight’s starter, lefthander Tyler Lyons. The answer is no one.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have purchased left-handed pitcher Tyler Lyons from Memphis (AAA) and placed right-handed pitcher Fernando Salas on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 21, due to right shoulder inflammation.
