As reported on cardinals.com yesterday, this will be the final game for manager Mike Matheny before he returns to St. Louis for a back procedure. He is expected to return to Jupiter, Fla., on Wednesday (an off day for the team) and be back in the dugout on Thursday.
The Cardinals top prospect, Oscar Taveras, one of the elite prospects in all of major league baseball, will make the start in center field today when the Mets come to Jupiter for a 12:05 pm (St. Louis time) start.
