Trevor Rosenthal Cites Chris Carpenter's Influence; Extra Bases
Chris Carpenter won’t be starting the first game of the exhibition season Saturday for the Cardinals, let alone the regular-season opener or probably any game this year because of a nettlesome nerve issue that has resurfaced. But his pupil, as it were, will start the first Grapefruit League game Saturday for the Cardinals here against Miami.
