The last regular season match up between the Cardinals and the RockHounds for the 2011 regular season would end on a hot July night. Going into the final game of the three game series against Midland, the Cardinals looked to take the three game set and split the season series.
Charlie Cutler had four more hits, including one of his team’s four home runs, and the Springfield Cardinals also got two credible innings of relief from big-leaguer Eduardo Sanchez on Tuesday night, beating the Midland RockHounds 13-3 at Hammons Field.
