The Redbirds have been unable to shake the losing slump since the All-Star break going 1-6 in the current home stand, most recent loss to American Northern division leader the Omaha Storm Chaser who run with the lead as the Redbirds fall four games back.
Pitcher Luis Mendoza was all smiles as he struck out Redbirds hitter Andrew Brown for the final out Monday night, putting a stamp on his first career no-hitter in Omaha's 4-0 win at AutoZone Park.
