Shuffling Cards: Ramon Vazquez Released, Minor Movements Abound
Infielder Ramon Vazquez elected to trigger the out clause in his minor-league contract with the St. Louis Cardinals and became a free agent Wednesday. A club official confirmed that the team released the lefthanded-hitting infielder, who had been with the Class AAA Memphis club all season.
