Cardinals Demote Maikel Cleto But Keep Lance Lynn; Matt Carpenter Sits - For Now; David Freese Takes Grounders; Draft Talk; Etc...
Righthander Mikael Cleto was on his way back to Class AA Springfield on Friday not long after his major-league debut the night before, when he allowed five runs in two innings. But righthander Lance Lynn, who likewise made his debut in that game, giving up five runs in 5 1/3 innings, will get another starting shot.
