Nick Punto On The High Road With Allen Vaughn
Nick Punto is the latest St. Louis Cardinal to use Hammons Field for a Double-A injury rehab assignment. The 11-year MLB veteran is recovering from a right forearm flexor strain, an injury that has limited his throwing arm. He said he is in town for the 8-game homestand, and has been playing DH the first four games against the Arkansas Travelers. However, during tonight’s game, he said he’ll be back in the field.
