The Nashville Sounds lost 5-4 to the state-rival Memphis Redbirds on Monday evening at AutoZone Park in the finale of a four game set. With the loss, Nashville (31-39) dropped three of four to the Redbirds in the series.
Memphis managed to slide bye with the win tonight to end their eight-game home stand going 7-8 overall, sweeping first opponents the New Orleans Zephyrs and getting the 3-1 advantage against the Sounds taking the 5-4 win.
