Springfield Blows Out Frisco 9-4

The Cardinals rolled out the red carpet on Thursday night to open up Hammons Field for the 2011 season as Hall of Famer Steve Carlton threw out the first pitch, the team arrived in Red Chevy Trucks and the Budweiser Clydesdale Horses made a couple laps around the warning track.
Aaron Luna finished with five hits, and the Springfield Cardinals rallied behind a eight-run seventh to beat the Frisco RoughRiders 9-4 in their home-opener Thursday night at Hammons Field.
