Matt Holliday Stays Off Disabled List; Double Trouble; Nick Punto Progressing; Gerald Laird Starts
With cleanup hitter Matt Holliday running sprints and playing catch Tuesday, the Cardinals declared they are optimistic enough about the left fielder's recovery from an emergency appendectomy that they will not place him on the disabled list for now.
