Joel Pineiro Throws Long Toss Off Flat Ground
Right-hander Joel Pineiro (soreness in the back of his shoulder) has progressed from long toss to flat-ground throwing. He is scheduled to be re-examined by Dr. Lewis Yocum this weekend before he is cleared to throw off a mound again. With Pineiro on the DL, the Angels will need to find a fifth starter for Tuesday’s game against the Indians.
