The Cardinals and Nationals had their first attempt at a series opener washed away by rain, and they'll come back Wednesday to make up for lost time. Washington will get to play its second doubleheader in the past four days, and it will have to overcome a St. Louis team that will send Jake Westbrook and Jaime Garcia to the mound.
As expected, the St. Louis Cardinals have moved Ryan Franklin out of the closer role. Who will replace him remains to be seen.
