Jeff Suppan is going back to the scene of his greatest success.
Suppan, recently released by the Brewers, officially signed with the Cardinals prior to Monday's game against the Mariners. St. Louis optioned right-handed pitcher Adam Ottavino to Triple-A Memphis to make room for Suppan, who went 0-2 with a 7.84 ERA for the Brewers this season but was 44-26 with a 2.95 ERA in three seasons with St. Louis prior to becoming a free agent.
